A joint operation by the Bangladesh Army and Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Traffic Division on Tuesday led to the filing of 11 cases and the collection of fines totaling Tk 310,000. The checkpoint was set up near the BNS Center in Uttara to curb post-Eid travel irregularities such as overcharging passengers, illegal parking, unlicensed drivers, and unfit vehicles. The operation ran from 10 PM to 11:30 PM on June 10. Authorities have confirmed that such operations will continue to maintain law and order and prevent crime.
