Gen Z Storm Hits India: Who is Young Leader Wangchuk?

The Gen Z wave has now begun sweeping across India. In the China-bordering region of Ladakh, protests have erupted that have resulted in deadly violence. At least five people have died in police firing during these Gen Z demonstrations, and an indefinite curfew has been imposed. Sonam Wangchuk, famously known as “Rancho” from Three Idiots, is being called the Gen Z leader. Thousands of students took to the streets on Wednesday to show support for his hunger strike. Wangchuk is a climate activist and social worker.
