Foreign Affairs Advisor Md. Touhid Hossain warned at a UN Security Council meeting that the unresolved Rohingya crisis could soon pose a serious threat to regional stability. He highlighted that Bangladesh has been hosting over 1.2 million Rohingya refugees for more than eight years, turning what was once a humanitarian issue into a pressing economic, environmental, and security challenge. He urged the international community to take immediate and effective steps for the safe and dignified repatriation of the refugees.
