BNP-nominated candidate Mujibur Rahman Chowdhury has won the national parliamentary election in the Moulvibazar-4 (Sreemangal–Kamalganj) constituency by a significant margin. According to official results confirmed by Moulvibazar District Returning Officer Touhid Uzzaman Pavel, Chowdhury secured a total of 169,608 votes, defeating his nearest rival by 120,419 votes. His closest competitor, Maulana Nure Alam Hamidi of Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish, received 49,189 votes.
Other candidates included independent contender Mohsin Mia Madhu, who received 33,911 votes, NCP candidate Pritam Das with 4,875 votes, Abul Hasan with 969 votes, and Zarif Mia with 910 votes. In the same constituency, a separate “yes-no” vote was held, where the “yes” option received 124,927 votes and the “no” option received 107,178 votes.
The results confirm a decisive victory for the BNP candidate in this constituency, as officially verified by the local election authorities.
