His wife, actress Nusrat Imroz Tisha, shared the update on Sunday afternoon, urging people not to be misled by unverified reports. “Only after today’s board meeting will we know the next course of treatment. Please refrain from believing or spreading any information that doesn’t come from reliable sources,” she wrote. Farooki fell ill on Saturday while visiting Cox’s Bazar and was later airlifted to Dhaka for emergency medical care.
