Bank Erosion at 36 Sites Along Three Rivers in Feni Causes Damage Worth Several Crores Again
In 2024, the people of Feni witnessed one of the most devastating floods in recorded history. Before the wounds from that flood could heal, another flood struck. Continuous rainfall and upstream surges have brought Feni under flood threat again this month. As a result, 36 sections of flood control embankments along the Muhuri, Kahuya, and Silonia rivers have been breached. This information was reported by the Feni Water Development Board (Paubo).
