Speakers at a Nationalist Citizen Party (NCP) rally in Jatrabari declared that July revolutionaries would resist any attempt by the BNP to regain power through a rigged election. They accused the BNP of following a Delhi-prescribed agenda and trying to manipulate public opinion through chaos. They also criticized the party’s fear of local elections and demanded restructuring of the Election Commission.
