Political advisor Mahfuz Alam has urged the public to support justice and human dignity in the aftermath of what he termed Prime Minister Hasina's “moral defeat.” In a Facebook post, he appealed for unity with all who have been oppressed by the regime, including many marginalized Hindus from Gopalganj. “Don’t ghettoize any region,” he wrote, calling for solidarity across Bangladesh. While fascism may not be fully eradicated, democratic accountability must be the next step, he argued.
