At least 23 inmates escaped from a prison in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, after armed men attacked the facility. The incident occurred amid widespread unrest following the death of drug lord Nemesio Oseguera. During the assault, one prison guard was killed. The violence erupted after Oseguera’s death during a military operation, sparking clashes across at least 20 of Mexico’s 32 states.
