At a flag-hoisting event on Sunday, Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Niaz Ahmad Khan emphasized that those who create history stand above political affiliations. He highlighted ASM Abdur Rab’s historic role in raising the national flag on March 2, 1971, and his contributions to the country’s independence struggle. The Vice-Chancellor also warned that Bangladesh is facing multiple adversities and conspiracies, stressing the importance of national unity. Concurrently, the Democratic Student Union held its own flag-hoisting ceremony at the same venue.
