Revolutionary Workers Party General Secretary Saiful Haque emphasized that the core message of the July–August uprising is the elimination of all forms of discrimination in state and society. He stated that no citizen should be deprived of rights based on religion or culture, and a democratic state must inherently be secular. Speaking at a dialogue with representatives of the Barua community in Rangamati, he expressed support for their 8-point demand and called for guaranteed representation at both regional and local levels.
