In Savar, police have arrested Assistant Sub-Inspector Mohammad Ali for his role in the death of student Ashhabul Yamin during last year’s July Uprising. The victim was reportedly dragged from an armored vehicle and left to die. Ali, who had been in hiding, was apprehended in Rupganj, Narayanganj, and handed over to the International Crimes Tribunal based on a longstanding arrest warrant.
