The NBR Reform Unity Council has declared a full shutdown of all tax zones, VAT offices, and customs stations starting this Saturday if recent transfer orders of officials are not revoked and the chairman is not removed.

Until then, a symbolic pen-down strike will be observed daily from 12 PM to 5 PM, excluding international passenger services and exports. At a press briefing, the council announced plans to unveil a roadmap for a more service-oriented and public-friendly NBR on July 7.
