Local reports suggest that his absence from this game could cost him a place in Brazil’s friendly lineup. However, Neymar is expected to play against Corinthians in the Brazilian Serie A next Sunday, his only chance to prove fitness before the final squad announcement.

Brazil will face France on March 26 and Croatia on April 1 as part of their pre-World Cup schedule.
