A clash broke out between two factions of the BNP during an iftar gathering in Nandail, resulting in 10 injuries. Following the incident, the local administration imposed Section 144 in the area surrounding Shahid Smriti College ground. The conflict was triggered by a dispute among three factions within the local BNP over the formation of the new party committee. The newly formed BNP committee, led by Yasir Khan Chowdhury, organized the iftar at the same time and place where another faction, led by Azizul Hai Pikul, had also planned their event. The disagreement led to a violent clash between the two groups.
