After nearly 48 hours, the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) removed 11 people, including a pregnant woman and several children, from the zero line at the Mashalgaon border in Haripur upazila of Thakurgaon. The incident was confirmed on Monday morning by Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Al Moin Hasan, commander of the Dinajpur Battalion (42 BGB). According to reports, the BSF took the group—comprising three men, four women, and four children—into Indian territory around 3 a.m. on Monday.

The group had been stranded at the zero line since early Friday, June 6, following an alleged push-in attempt by the BSF. Their presence, especially that of a pregnant woman and children, had caused concern among local residents. Locals confirmed that the individuals were no longer at the border area after being taken away by the BSF.

The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) stated that patrols and surveillance have been intensified to prevent any untoward incidents. The overall situation along the border is currently reported to be normal and under control, with cooperation from local communities.
