BNP-nominated candidate Mujibur Rahman Chowdhury has won the Moulvibazar-4 (Sreemangal–Kamalganj) constituency in the national parliamentary election by a significant margin. He secured a total of 169,608 votes, defeating his nearest rival by 120,419 votes. His closest competitor, Maulana Nure Alam Hamidi of Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish, received 49,189 votes. Other candidates included independent Mohsin Mia Madhu with 33,911 votes, NCP’s Pritam Das with 4,875 votes, Abul Hasan with 969 votes, and Zarif Mia with 910 votes.

In the same constituency, a separate ‘Yes-No’ vote was also held, where the ‘Yes’ option received 124,927 votes and the ‘No’ option received 107,178 votes. The results were confirmed by Moulvibazar District Returning Officer Touhid Uzzaman Pavel.

The decisive victory strengthens BNP’s position in the region, as the party continues to secure multiple seats across the country according to the election results reported.
