Bangladesh has suspended all flights bound for the Middle East following the outbreak of renewed conflict between the United States, Israel, and Iran. A spokesperson for Shahjalal International Airport confirmed on Saturday that the suspension will remain in effect until further notice. Biman Bangladesh Airlines’ General Manager of Public Relations, Bosra Islam, stated that all Middle East-bound flights have been halted and further details will be provided later.

According to the report, the escalation began after the United States and Israel launched a joint attack on Iran on Saturday morning, targeting Tehran and five other cities. The assault also included cyberattacks on Iranian state media outlets. In retaliation, Iran struck back at American bases located in Israel and neighboring countries.

The suspension of flights reflects Bangladesh’s precautionary response to the rapidly deteriorating security situation in the region, with further updates expected once stability returns or official guidance is issued.
