According to statements released by military officials, most of the injured personnel later returned to duty despite suffering brain injury-related problems.

The report also said earlier news sources had alleged that the US government was concealing the actual scale of military casualties in the war with Iran. US government sources have so far cited 18 US military deaths and more than 500 personnel injured in clashes with Iran. It added that many of the casualties were senior military officers in the US armed forces.
