Home Affairs Adviser Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has condemned the mob attack on former Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Nurul Huda. “Mob justice is never acceptable. What happened to the former CEC—humiliation by placing items around his neck—is completely unacceptable,” he said. He urged the public to report such incidents to law enforcement rather than taking matters into their own hands. “A probe committee will be formed, and legal action will be taken against anyone involved,” he added. He also mentioned plans for legislation to protect agricultural land from illegal occupation.
