Towhid Afridi, son of MyTV chairman Nasir Uddin Sathi and a content creator, has been granted bail in a fraud and criminal breach of trust case filed at Wari Police Station in Dhaka. The bail was approved on Tuesday by Metropolitan Magistrate Ariful Islam. Afridi’s lawyer, Iqbal Mahmud Shovon, confirmed that with this order, his client now has bail in all three cases filed against him, removing any legal barrier to his release.

According to the case details, complainant Syeda Ashfa Toaha Dyuti alleged that she was deceived through a fraudulent online freelancing offer made via WhatsApp and Telegram in January of the previous year. The scammers, using false identities, convinced her to transfer a total of Tk 235,000, which was later misappropriated. Dyuti filed the case against unidentified persons at Wari Police Station.

Afridi was arrested by CID police in August of the previous year and later shown arrested in multiple cases, including this one. The latest bail order clears the way for his release from custody.
