South Korea’s Ambassador to Bangladesh, Kim Ji Joon, paid a courtesy call on Brigadier General (Retd.) A K M Shamsul Islam, the Prime Minister’s Defense Adviser, on Tuesday afternoon at the Armed Forces Division in Dhaka Cantonment. The meeting was confirmed in a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR).

During the meeting, both sides exchanged greetings and recalled the longstanding friendly and excellent bilateral relations between Bangladesh and South Korea. They discussed potential areas of cooperation to support the modernization and capacity enhancement of the Bangladesh Armed Forces. The discussions covered possible collaboration in military equipment, defense technology exchange, shipbuilding, joint training, and higher military education.

Both parties expressed positive views about strengthening defense cooperation between the two countries, reflecting a shared interest in expanding strategic and technological ties.
