US President Donald Trump has warned Iran not to launch retaliatory strikes following the death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In a post on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump said it would be better for Iran not to respond, warning that any counterattack would be met with unprecedented force.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that it had launched missile and drone strikes on 27 US bases across the Middle East, as well as on Israeli military and defense sites. According to Iranian state media, the attacks were part of a sixth wave of operations aimed at avenging US and Israeli bombings.

The IRGC stated that the strikes targeted US and Israeli positions including the Nevatim Air Base, the Israeli army’s command headquarters in Tel Aviv’s Hakirya district, and a major defense industry complex in the same city.
