A man named Jahangir Alam Talukdar, aged 35, was killed by lightning in Barhatta upazila of Netrakona on Sunday afternoon. The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. in Borgaon village under Sahata Union. Jahangir, son of the late Abdur Rashid Talukdar of the same village, was struck by lightning while bringing cattle from a field near his home. Locals rescued him and took him to the upazila health complex, where doctors declared him dead.

According to police and local sources, the body was handed over to the family after completing legal formalities. Barhatta Police Station Officer-in-Charge Champak Dam confirmed the incident and said an unnatural death case has been filed in connection with it.
