All educational institutions across Bangladesh are set to go on an extended holiday in December, combining winter vacation with Victory Day and Christmas celebrations. Primary schools will begin their holidays on December 11, ending on December 25, with Victory Day to be observed on December 16. The primary scholarship exams are scheduled between December 21 and 24. Secondary schools will start their break on December 14 and reopen on December 28, followed by the eighth-grade scholarship exams from December 28 to 31. Similarly, government and private colleges, as well as madrasas and technical institutions, will observe holidays from December 14 to 28, with weekly holidays on December 12 and 13. Teachers and students across all levels have been instructed to attend institutions on December 16 to celebrate Victory Day. Regular classes will resume at the beginning of the new year with the distribution of new textbooks.
