Major General Ali Abdollahi, commander of Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, warned Saturday that the United States is moving toward an all-out regional war. He urged Middle Eastern governments to reconsider allowing Washington to use their territory, infrastructure and resources for military operations. The report was published on August 1, 2026.

Abdollahi said Washington’s conduct reflected what he described as a dangerous expansionist strategy aimed at imposing unlawful control over the region. He alleged that during the recent war against Iran, the United States showed willingness to act against Muslim interests and resources. He also said the United States was using regional countries’ capital, critical infrastructure and strategic assets as a defensive shield for its military forces.

The Iranian commander said Iran’s armed forces and the broader resistance front had demonstrated that the regional balance of power was no longer governed by previous equations. He argued that the United States and Israel were forced to launch attacks from regional countries’ borders and military bases because they had failed to achieve their objectives against Iran. He warned that countries continuing such cooperation could be drawn into the fires of war.
