Demanding permanent employment status, Bangladesh Railway gatekeepers and gatemen have declared an indefinite strike starting March 24, including a railway blockade. On Wednesday, they held a protest and human chain at the Railway Building, also submitting a memorandum to the Railway Ministry. This follows an earlier demonstration on August 18 last year.
