Rashed Pradhan, Vice President of JAGPA, has criticized Sajeeb Wazed Joy, son of Prime Minister Hasina, for branding the July Uprising as the “July Riot” and calling it the darkest chapter in Bangladesh’s history. “The Awami League has distorted history with lies and deception, dishonoring the blood of thousands of martyrs and the sacrifices of wounded fighters,” he said. Pradhan declared that spreading such propaganda about July is a punishable offense. Speaking at JAGPA’s month-long program, he pledged to resist foreign interference, oppose Indian aggression, and take a strong stand against the Awami League.
