Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, the Home Affairs Adviser of Bangladesh’s interim government, visited Evercare Hospital in Dhaka on Saturday to inquire about the health condition of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia. He arrived at the hospital around 1:18 p.m., spoke with the attending doctors, and was briefed on her latest medical status. Hospital sources reported that Khaleda Zia has been suffering from multiple chronic illnesses and is currently under intensive observation. Security measures around the hospital were tightened during the adviser’s visit. Recently, several political leaders and personalities have also visited the hospital to express concern and check on Khaleda Zia’s health.
