Ishaq Ali Sarkar, Organizing Secretary of Jubo Dal, has surrendered before the court in connection with 11 cases filed against him on charges of sabotage. Following his surrender, the court rejected his bail plea and ordered him to be sent to prison.

His lawyer, Nazrul Islam, told reporters that during the tenure of the previous government, as many as 365 cases were filed against Ishaq Ali. Out of these, courts under the Metropolitan Sessions Judge’s jurisdiction sentenced him to a total of 22 years and 6 months in prison in six cases.

Nazrul Islam further stated that Ishaq surrendered in six cases at the Sessions Court and in another five cases at the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court, seeking bail. However, the court denied his bail application and remanded him to custody.
