Leaders of the National Citizens’ Party (NCP) came under attack as they were leaving Gopalganj after a rally. Activists from the Awami League, Jubo League, and the banned Chhatra League reportedly attacked the NCP convoy with stones and bricks. NCP’s Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwari stated that the leaders were trapped and the administration remained inactive. Police and RAB fired blank shots to control the situation, while the army also came under attack before responding with gunfire. Eventually, the leaders were evacuated to the Superintendent of Police's office for safety.
