Bangladesh and China discussed expanding higher education opportunities for talented Bangladeshi students and strengthening cooperation between universities and research institutions in the two countries. The discussions took place at the China-Bangladesh Education Cooperation Luncheon in Guangzhou, China, on Wednesday.
Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon attended the event as chief guest. Prime Minister’s Education Adviser Dr Mahdi Amin and Technical and Madrasa Education Division Secretary Md Daud Mia attended as special guests.
Senior representatives from several Chinese universities also joined the programme, including vice presidents of Anhui Normal University and Jiangxi Science and Technology Normal University. Participants additionally discussed increasing China-Bangladesh cooperation in technical education to develop skilled manpower.
