Bangladesh’s newly appointed Navy Chief, Vice Admiral Khandaker Misbah Ul Azim, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman at the Prime Minister’s Office on Saturday. Their meeting covered national maritime security, strengthening the professional capacity of the Bangladesh Navy, modernization of the force, and other related matters.

The prime minister praised the Bangladesh Navy’s professionalism and its important role in protecting the country’s sovereignty and ensuring maritime security. He also expressed hope that the newly appointed navy chief would carry out his responsibilities successfully.
