Iran’s parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf warned that the United States had crossed a “red line” and would have to pay a heavy price. His remarks were reported by Iranian state television early Sunday. Ghalibaf added that the country would continue to follow the path set by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

According to a statement from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the country launched extensive missile and drone attacks on US and Israeli military bases across the Middle East for the second consecutive day. The IRGC said the strikes targeted 27 American bases as well as Israel’s Tel Nof airbase, the Israeli army’s command headquarters in Tel Aviv’s Hakirya district, and a major defense industry complex in the same city.

The developments mark an escalation in regional tensions, with Iran signaling continued adherence to Khamenei’s directives amid ongoing military operations.
