Barkat Ullah Bulu, Vice Chairman of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), has been declared the unofficial winner in the Noakhali-3 constituency. The result was confirmed on Thursday night, February 12, 2026, by Assistant Returning Officer and Begumganj Upazila Executive Officer Md. Kayesur Rahman. According to the complete count from all 166 polling centers, Bulu, who contested under the paddy sheaf symbol, received 137,937 votes.

His nearest rival, Maulana Md. Borhan Uddin, the district secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami and candidate under the scales symbol, secured 117,824 votes. The unofficial results were announced from the Returning Officer’s office after the vote counting was completed.

The announcement marks a significant outcome for the BNP in the constituency, as the party’s candidate achieved a clear lead over his closest competitor in the unofficial tally.
