Information adviser Mahfuz Alam alleged that more than 100,000 Awami League members, including Sheikh Hasina, are conspiring against Bangladesh from Delhi. Speaking during an Eid gathering with families of victims of enforced disappearances and killings, he claimed that such crimes were carried out under political directives during the previous regime.
He further alleged that special teams were assigned for these operations, with police and RAB receiving orders to carry out disappearances. "The entire country was like a hall of mirrors where countless individuals fell victim to enforced disappearances. Many dissidents were abducted and smuggled into Indian prisons," Mahfuz claimed. He also stated that the Foreign Ministry is compiling a list of victims and vowed that the Awami League, which he described as a mafia rather than a political party, would never be allowed to return to power.
