Azizur Rahman Tiger, managing director of A.One Trading Bangladesh and a cousin of actor Monowar Hossain Dipjol, has filed a case in a Dhaka court accusing Dipjol and two others of intimidation and defamation. The case was filed on Sunday, July 26, before Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Hasan Shahadat. Dipjol's manager Abdul Gani and personal assistant Khokon are also named as accused.

The court took cognizance of the case and directed the deputy commissioner of DB Police to investigate the allegations and submit a report by September 24, according to plaintiff's lawyer Mazharul Islam Maruf. Court bench assistant Russell Khandakar confirmed that the case had been filed.

Tiger alleged that Dipjol acted out of jealousy over his reputation, business success and recognition. The complaint refers to a general diary filed against Tiger at Darus Salam police station on August 3 last year, saying police found no involvement by him in its investigation. Tiger claims ownership of the Navana CNG property and alleges that Dipjol's Facebook post and coverage on television, newspapers and online portals damaged his social standing and business reputation, causing financial losses worth crores of taka.
