A two-year-old child abducted from Fatullah in Narayanganj last Friday was rescued by members of RAB-11. The rescue took place on Sunday evening during an operation in the Chashara area of Narayanganj city. Authorities arrested a couple, Sujon Mia, 31, and his wife Majeda, 29, in connection with the abduction. The child was later recovered from their custody in good health.

According to RAB-11, the arrested couple lived as tenants next door to the victim’s family in the Lamapara area of Fatullah. They often interacted with the child, which helped them gain the family’s trust. On Friday morning, they allegedly took the child under the pretext of affection and later demanded a ransom of one lakh taka from the family, threatening to kill the child if the money was not paid.

RAB launched an operation after the family sought help, using intelligence and technology to locate the suspects. The couple was handed over to Fatullah police for further legal action.
