Israeli air and artillery attacks across the Gaza Strip killed at least 12 Palestinians on Sunday, including two children and an unborn child, according to the report published on August 3, 2026. Several others were wounded in strikes reported in Khan Younis, Deir al-Balah, Gaza City and the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza. The attacks came two days after US President Donald Trump and the Board of Peace announced implementation of the next phase of the Gaza ceasefire.

In Khan Younis, an airstrike on an apartment in al-Karara killed Mahmoud Zaki al-Hams, 38, his wife Fatima al-Hams, 37, and their young daughter, while three others were injured. Helicopter fire in Deir al-Balah killed Kamal Abu Muailiq, 68, and his wife Huda, 59; a separate strike on a motorcycle killed two more people.

In Gaza City, a strike on an apartment in al-Susi Tower killed Abdullah Abu Taif, 33, his wife Abeer Anan, 29, their five-year-old son Azzam and their unborn child. Palestinian officials say Israeli attacks during the ceasefire have killed 1,222 Palestinians and wounded 4,053.
