The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have claimed that the body of Hamas’ military chief, Mohammad Sinwar, was discovered in a tunnel beneath the European Hospital in Khan Yunis, Gaza. The IDF released video footage of the tunnel and confirmed Sinwar’s identity through DNA testing. However, Hamas has yet to officially acknowledge his death. The IDF earlier claimed Sinwar was killed in an airstrike on May 13, which, according to Hamas-controlled Civil Defense, killed 28 people.
