At least 743 Palestinians have been killed and 4,891 injured while attempting to collect food aid in Gaza, according to the Gaza Health Ministry.
These casualties occurred at distribution points managed by the controversial Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), which faces accusations of indiscriminate shooting and stun grenade use by Israeli forces. Though both GHF and the Israeli military deny the allegations, human rights organizations have called for GHF's operations to be suspended. The foundation continues to receive U.S. support and funding.
Al Jazeera reports that the actual death toll may be even higher.
