A joint attack by the United States and Israel on a primary girls’ school in Minab, a southern city in Iran, has left at least 148 people dead and 95 others injured. The assault took place on Saturday, and officials reported that the number of casualties has continued to rise since the incident. At the time of the attack, 170 students were present at the school.

Following the strike, U.S. President Donald Trump warned Iran against launching any retaliatory attacks. His statement came after Iran vowed severe revenge for the killing of its Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In a post on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump said that it would be better for Iran not to retaliate, warning that any response would be met with unprecedented force.

The attack and subsequent statements have drawn international attention, with North Korea labeling the strike as an “illegal aggression,” and Russian President Vladimir Putin describing Khamenei’s killing as a grave violation of international law.
