Recently, some Indian media outlets and social media users spread rumors blaming Turkey’s Turkish Technic for the recent Air India plane crash. However, a report by Anadolu’s Fact-Check Line confirmed that the crashed aircraft was not maintained by Turkish Technic. The rumor spread using misleading photos. Turkish Technic only maintains Air India’s Boeing 777 aircraft, which are currently operating safely. The actual cause of the crash is still under investigation, and so far, there is no evidence of any maintenance-related fault. Notably, various international studies have repeatedly identified Indian media as one of the leading sources of false news and misinformation in the world.
