Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has called on people to follow the ideals of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) to build a peaceful, just and welfare-oriented Bangladesh. In a message issued on the occasion of Eid-e-Miladunnabi, he urged the establishment of justice, responsibility and humane values in personal, family, social and state life.

Extending greetings to devout Muslims across Bangladesh and the global Muslim community, the prime minister described the Prophet’s arrival as a momentous event in human civilization. He said the Prophet taught truth, justice, equality, brotherhood, humanity and peace, while setting examples of honesty, trustworthiness, forgiveness, tolerance, compassion and service to others.

Rahman said the Prophet emphasized human dignity and rights beyond divisions of nation, race, tribe, language and social status. He highlighted the need to protect the rights of orphans, poor people, women, children, neighbours and marginalized groups. He also said the Prophet’s ideals could guide young people away from drugs, terrorism, extremism and crime toward knowledge, creativity, morality, humanity and patriotism.
