Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson Tarique Rahman is scheduled to meet Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Shafiqur Rahman and National Citizens Party (NCP) Convener Nahid Islam following the party’s victory in the 13th National Parliamentary Election. According to BNP media wing member Shamsuddin Didar, Tarique Rahman will visit Shafiqur Rahman’s residence in Dhaka’s Bashundhara residential area at 7 p.m. on Sunday, followed by a visit to Nahid Islam’s home in Badda at 8 p.m.
The BNP media wing stated that the meetings are part of what it described as a gesture of “positive politics.” The party has also confirmed that communication has been established with both leaders regarding the upcoming visits.
The visits mark Tarique Rahman’s first direct engagement with these political figures since the election, signaling BNP’s effort to maintain cordial relations with allied and like-minded political groups.
