Results of Bangladesh’s 2026 SSC and equivalent examinations were published at 10am on August 10 on the Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board website. Across 11 education boards, the average pass rate was 62.25%. A total of 1,138,877 students passed, while 690,608 failed. The number of students receiving GPA-5 was 116,676.
The results showed a notable decline in the average pass rate from the previous year. In 2025, the average pass rate was 68.45%, meaning this year’s rate fell by 6.20 percentage points. Dhaka Education Board recorded the highest pass rate at 71.63%, while Mymensingh Education Board had the lowest at 57.39%.
Students can access their results online, through their respective educational institutions, and by mobile phone SMS. The published results provide figures for successful and unsuccessful candidates, GPA-5 recipients, and pass rates across the education boards.
