Trade operations at Brahmanbaria's Akhaura land port resumed on June 10 after a four-day closure for the Eid-ul-Azha holiday. Activities restarted with the export of fish, confirmed by Md. Faruk Mia, General Secretary of the local Fish Exporters Association. All import-export operations were suspended from June 6 to June 9, although passenger movement with valid passports remained uninterrupted. Authorities had informed India’s Agartala port in advance about the holiday. Immigration officials confirmed that cross-border travel continued smoothly during the closure.
