On the first day of Ramadan, BNP leaders organized an iftar event with Islamic scholars and orphans, with Tarique Rahman joining virtually from London as the chief guest. In his pre-iftar speech, he extended Ramadan greetings and emphasized that fostering honesty and discouraging wrongdoing could help build the nation. He highlighted Ramadan’s teachings on patience, self-restraint, and standing by all of God's creations. He also called for discussions on whether Muslims worldwide could observe fasting and Eid on the same day in the era of modern science.
