France has strongly condemned Israeli settlers’ seizure of several Palestinian homes and violence against civilians in the village of al-Qusra in the occupied West Bank. In a statement issued Friday, the French Foreign Ministry called on Israeli authorities to arrest and bring those responsible for the actions to justice.

The ministry said violence by settlers was increasing in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. France urged Israeli authorities to take all necessary measures to protect Palestinian civilians, saying they are obligated to do so under international law. It also reiterated its condemnation of Israel’s settlement policy.

France warned that the settlement policy threatens the two-state solution and further inflames the situation on the ground. The report said attacks by Israeli occupiers against Palestinians and their property across the occupied West Bank have intensified since Israel began the war in the Gaza Strip in October 2023. Palestinians and international parties have warned of growing land and home seizures and the displacement of residents.
