Nahid Islam, the convener of the National Consensus Party (NCP), has stated that elections can be held within the stipulated timeframe if necessary reforms are implemented. Speaking at an Iftar gathering, he reiterated NCP’s demand for holding parliamentary and constituent assembly elections simultaneously.
Nahid emphasized the need to improve law and order before the elections, warning that anti-Bangladesh forces were still engaged in conspiracies. He further stated that the ruling Awami League must be held accountable through due judicial processes. Meanwhile, NCP Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain called on all opposition forces to unite against the Awami League.
